Accepted Payment Methods: Returns: No Returns Description: Your bidding on a very rare German Model 1896 Reichsrevolever made in Erfurt Germany with Unit Marking (1.M.I. 45 119), serial # 3785, cal. 11mm German Ordnance, 4 1/2" barrel with a very good bore. Unofficially known as the "Officers" model (1883 model). The metal surfaces of this 1896 dated revolver retain about 80% original blue with some light peppery pitting on barrel caused by holstering, some scattered areas fading to brown, freckling but no dings on the rear of the barrel. The smooth walnut grips rate very good. The cylinder number is 3785 matching every part including the screw heads. There is a unit marking on the back strap read "1.M.I. 45.119". This revolver’s overall condition is good for its age and use during WW1. It is reported by the family that owned this revolver that it was removed from a German pilot after he was shot down in WWI.
