Description: Here is an attractive, serviceable and distinctive S&W .38 Military and Police, numbered Model 10, Fifth Engineering change, that served in the Land Down Under. From its D490000 range serial number, it was manufactured in 1972, as part of a special order bound for Australia. Its 4 inch heavy barrel fitted onto a round butt grip frame made it as much a marsupial as the kangaroos and platypuses. Note Century Arms’s reimport stamp on the right side plate, in compliance with the 1968 Gun Control Act. Barrel is 4 inch Heavy Barrel 1:18.75 six groove right hand rifling, pinned in place to the frame, with serrated ramp front sight. Note the contour gap between the frame’s sight system and the solid sight rib on the barrel. Capacity is 6 rounds of .38 Special, interchangeably with +P ammunition; type is traditional double and single action with transfer bar internal safety device; and construction is entirely blue steel with Smith & Wesson K Frame Round Butt grip frame. Trigger and hammer are original color casehardened .265 serrated face service trigger with semi-target .375 wide serrated spur hammer. Grips are factory issue Goncalo Magna service type. This 10-5’s surface detractions are moderate, principally finish wear on the grip frame back strap, muzzle laterals, and strap contact browning on the side plate. We rate this 10 as Good, perhaps Very Good, 70 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, should suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, cylinder chambers, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Blast effect to the underside of the frame top strap directly above the barrel's forcing cone is minimal, a shallow groove that traverses 2/3 of the width of the top strap as the photos show. Cylinder face to forcing cone gap is .009. Double action trigger pull is smooth and consistent; hammer travels an additional 10 degrees on all six positions in double action after the cylinder times into place. On single action, the hammer travels an additional 25 degrees on all six after timing. The single action trigger pull is a crisp and original 4 1/4 pounds. Lateral play to the cylinder is minimal, no more than 1/2 mm total, with the trigger relaxed. With the trigger pulled all the way, however, there is no lateral play whatsoever. We're offering this very attractive, serviceable and collectable authentic Australian Lawman Model 10-5 Round Butt Heavy Barrel for only $ 339.00 Not transferable to civilian residents of California, District of Colombia, or Massachusetts. Any ammunition or personnel showing in our photos are Not included.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
