Description: Up for sale is a WWI era Austro-Hungarian M95 straightpull bolt action rifle. Has unit marking "I.R.51.11765" on the buttplate indicating its WWI sercive. This particular rifle was cut down by the Hungarian military somewhere between 1931 and 1935 to carbine length, rechambered for the 8x56R cartridge, and redesignated as an M95/35/a.M. During WWII these carbines were reissued in second line roles. Rifle has excellent patina and is in great shape for seeing two world wars! Rifle is not import marked.. could possible be a bringback, but there's no way to be sure.

Included in the sale will be 140rds of ORIGINAL 8x56RS ammo on en bloc clips. Clips are from several different makers, some are Nazi Eagle marked. Ammo is mostly 1938 headstamped.
