Description: From a New England collection comes this .22 Short caliber CDM brand revolver. Manufacturer was Criterion Die and Machine Products, CDM, of Wooster Street in Soho District of the Burrow of Manhattan. City records show incorporation in 1968. Parts manufacturer was Rohm GmbH of Sontheim, West Germany. The company was short lived, due to the NYC regime pulling its manufacturing license, and merged with Imperial Manufacturing of North Carolina after 1972. From this specimen’s 0046000 range serial number, it was manufactured in 1969, first full year of production. From our records, these were billed as the CDM Shorty model; it belongs to the RG 10 family of revolvers. Type is side loading, single and double action revolver, with manual ejection through the port with the removable ejector pin. Construction is steel one piece barrel, cylinder, hammer, trigger, and internal parts fitted into a zinc alloy / zamak pot metal frame with pot metal collar type front sight, and with white plastic grip panels. Only the frame was made in Soho. Chambering is .22 Short Only, and cylinder capacity is 6 rounds. It will not chamber .22 Long or Long Rifle caliber ammunition. Barrel is 1 3/4 inch one piece, pinned into place, with 8 groove right hand 1:16 rifling. Sights are muzzle collar blade front, with frame integral fixed notch rear. Trigger is .220 smooth face, with .195 width serrated spur hammer. Ignition is hammer nose firing pin. Mechanism does Not have a transfer bar, so the revolver should be loaded with 5 rounds and the hammer resting on an empty chamber. Frame is square butt type, small frame. Weight empty is 12.5 ounces, with center of gravity at the rear cylinder face. Surface detractions on this CDM Shorty are moderate, principally small patches of gray showing through the anodized or perhaps enamel finish. We rate it as Good, perhaps Very Good, 70 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Double action trigger pull, single action pull, and cocking motion are all unusually heavy, 15 to 20 pounds of pressure required on all three motions. Cylinder has minimal lateral play with the trigger fully depressed. From the minimal carbon deposits on the cylinder face, we estimate this .22 has been fired fewer than 200 times. This was a transitional piece, similar to its IMP brand successors, that filled a cheap gun niche between 1968 and RG Industries in Florida reaching full production capability with its RG14 L series around 1974. We’re offering the 1969 CDM Shorty in the photos for only $119.00.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
