Upper assembly features a special contour 16" barrel in 1:9 twist. Young used Wilson Combat and Lothar Walter barrel blanks to make his barrels. All top shelf. It is bull barrel under the handguard and M4 contour from the gas port out. It is fully fluted which makes for a light and stiff barrel. The barrel has had about 1000 rounds through it and is 100% reliable*. The slick package comes with the bolt (no carrier) and is equipped with a PRI folding front sight gas block. * I shot exclusively PMC 55g FMJ-BT and never had a single failure to feed.
