CO) Scabbard This genuine Korean War era U.S.M. 4 bayonet was manufactured by the Camillus Cutlery Company. The 1953 Camillus US Army Contract M4, is shown in detail on page 85 of Gary M. Cunningham’s excellent book “U.S. Knife Bayonets & Scabbards, A Collector’s Guide.” For verification, note the squatty, horizontal X, the of lack of black paint and the ‘starburst” whorling on the peened tang shown in the pommel picture. This rare 1953 Camillus M4 Bayonet is in excellent original overall condition and does not appear to have been sharpened. The majority of the parkerized finish remains, the point is intact, everything is tight, the grip is well preserved and the pommel catches work just as they should. The USM8 BMCO scabbard is also in very good condition. There are no cracks in the plastic and the retention strap and snap function perfectly.
