The MR762A1 is a direct descendent of the HK416/417 series, only in a semi-automatic rifle configuration developed for civilian users. Using the HK-proprietary operating system, the MR762A1 is gas operated and uses a piston and a solid operating “pusher”rod in place of the common gas tube normally employed in AR15/M16/M4-style weapons. Pioneered by Heckler & Koch in the G36, HK416, and HK417; this method virtually eliminates malfunctions common to direct impingement gas systems since hot carbon fouling and waste gases do not enter the receiver area. The MR762A1 stays cleaner, reducing heat transfer to the bolt and bolt carrier, and drastically reducing wear and tear on other critical components. The service life of all parts is increased substantially. The exterior surface and all furniture is Tan Poly T2 coated able to withstand over 1000 hour salt spray test. The interior parts are NP3 PLUS coated, exceeding the 1000-hour salt spray requirements. This gun has been tricked out for accuracy and durability, with its 16” Match Grade barrel (guaranteed sub-moa), sniper/counter sniper technology, the HK upgraded nickel-boron Match Grade bolt, tactical charging handle also NP3 coated; interior parts blue-printed for perfection, match rifle 2-stage MSR trigger system, and it even has H & K’s G28 ADJUSTABLE BUTTSTOCK SYSTEM ($528 upgrade, original stock included in the package) for full adjustability for any shooter or situation. This gun is near new with very few rounds fired through it, and comes with the H & K case, 3 additional 20 round magazines, 3 additional 10 round magazines all from Magpul. This package is an incredible value, as the original rifle in black without the extras is $3500 and you can’t get it in Desert Tan furniture unless you are German Special Forces. Add the cost for Desert Tan ($222), the Poly T2 coatings ($375), HK Match Rifle Bolt ($111), NP3 interior all parts ($337), trigger and interior blueprint ($225), PLUS THE G 28 STOCK FOR ANOTHER $528, plus the original stock you can sell off for a few hundred bucks, and you have almost $2000 in extras,! This rifle would run over $5500 new and custom to these specs. This is an easy choice for those that like the best, gas piston, 7.62 Nato rifle available in the marketplace.
