This listing is for ONE magazine. Here are Walther Factory magazines for P1 and P38 Pistols, that we have modified to also fit Sig Sauer P6 or Older Model, Pre-1998 Sig P225s. Note the 3/8 inch protrusion past the butt edge of the P6 Pistol in the photos. Manufacturer was Mec-Gar, s.r.l., of Gussago, Italy, under license of Carl Walther waffenfabrik of Ulm, Germany; they bear the Walther Banner, P38 model marking and caliber designation. Construction is folded steel body, with 7 point Tig welded left side closure, music grade steel wire spring, steel floorplate and inner plate, and stepped steel cartridge follower. Finish is polished surface blued steel, with nickel plated follower. Both sides are laterally ported for round count. These magazines were manufactured around 2010 shortly after discontinuance of the P1 P38 series. Our local machinists have modified them but cutting a magazine catch slot on their right side so that they will also fit Sig Sauer P6 or P225 Pistols manufactured prior to 1998. Note the 1/8 inch protrusion from the P6 as the photos show. They flush fit their originally intended pistols, Walther P1 or P38 pistols manufactured from 1937 until about 2010, regardless of their production date. The Walthers’ magazine catch, of course, was on the butt of the pistol. Each magazine holds 8 rounds of 9mm ammunition: 9mm Luger, 9mm Parabellum, 9x19, call it what you will, THE 9mm. These magazines will fit any P1 or P38 pistol manufactured by Carl Walther of Germany, regardless of its production date. They will not fit any other firearm unless they are modified. Replacement pricing on factory German P38 magazines often exceeds $50 apiece; P6 / P225 magazines are extremely scarce, hence our offering of these.
