The nicely figured walnut stock is in good condition with no cracks or chips but a few dings and scratches, black butt plate, metal pistol grip cap and right hand cheek piece (see photos). The receiver is stippled and is a Mauser style action with a spoon bolt and is stamped with a lion on one side and the serial number and 30/06 on the other (see photos). The 24" round barrel has K. Wertgarner engraved on the top and has an excellent bore, a pedestal mounted, fixed, rear sight and a beaded blade front sight (see photos). The trigger guard and detachable floor plate are engraved with deer and elk game scenes (see photos). The adjustable double set triggers function as they should and are set very light. The gun came with a lace on leather recoil pad and a information tag (see photos). This gun appears to have been shot very little and well maintained (I have not cleaned this gun).
