Accepted Payment Methods: Returns: 3 Days Description: Beautiful, Colt 2ND Generation SAA .45 , new in Colt factory black box with 5 ½ inch barrel. This gorgeous SAA example was manufactured in 1956, the first year of production for the 2ND Generation SAA. It has the standard Colt markings and features, all well struck. The front of the cylinder, the loading gate and the rear of the frame are stamped with the assembly number "967". The right side of the trigger guard is stamped with an "X" and the left side has the "VP" in a triangle proof mark forward and a "P" rearward. Both of the grip straps are stamped with the full serial number "1884SA". This highly collectible Colt SAA is fitted with a set of checkered, black, hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt at the top. Both of the grips are marked on the inside "1884". The original black box is numbered to the gun by hand on the underside of the box, as shown in the photo. This SAA is in excellent condition, with 99% plus of the original blue finish, with some minor high edge wear, a few scattered minor scratches and a very slight drag line on the cylinder. The frame retains 99% of the original, vivid case colors, with only a couple small surface, hairline scratches. Both grips are excellent. The box is very good with some seam splits and some wear. A great find for the Colt collector who wants a new in box first year production 2ND Generation SAA with 4 digit serial number.
