HOLIDAY SALE ! S&W Model 66-3 with 3 inch barrel. This is not the standard 2.5 inch barrel, these is one of 2 or 3 special runs with a 3 inch barrel. If you collect S&W M-66's you need this one so you will have all 4 barrel lengths. If you collect rare S&W revolvers you need this one for your collection. If you are a fan and a pistolero who wants the best in a medium sized .357 magnum/.38 special to carry, you want this one. This is more rare and on a level with Colt's 2.5 inch Python for pricing and desirability. It is however lighter, more compact and able to get into action faster, and the 3 inch barrel does make a difference. I have seen extremely few of these for sale. Those that were had been used hard. The rest are in collections or carried by people who would never give them up. The grips on these are awesome, I thought they were replacement grips put on by original owner, whom I purchased it from. But during the time period that the small run this gun was from, Smith was using this style grips. I am sure they were more expensive than the large finger grip models they used before and after. Have to sell this firearm and it is sad because I will never see its like again I am sure. It appears unfired but I believe it has been, not by me but possibly original owner, if he did it was not much at all. Finish is excellent, barrel is perfect. Box and papers provided. SERIOUS INQUIRY/OFFERS will be considered.
