The nicely figured walnut stock has heavy brass fittings, butt plate and patch box with an extra nipple (see photos) and is in good condition with no cracks or chips and only a few small handling marks (see photos)(includes a period style leather sling). The barrel finish is a beautiful brown (see photos) with brass nose cap, trigger guard, butt plate and patch box. The lock plate and hammer are a very bright color case hardening (see photos). This rifle is 48" overall has front and rear and sight and functions perfectly (including half cock). At the sale they said this was an 1841 style musket, made in the 1970's, imported by Replica Arms and that it had never been fired.
