You are bidding on a Beautiful Russian m44 carbine. The rifle is from a group of new in box/wrapper never fired or messed with examples. We had to pull the paper wrapping off these ourselves. They have been in storage for the last 10-15 years. One of the nicest and cleanest m44 carbines you will find. Plenty of Cosmoline left to clean off! This one is 1946 dated which means the factory had time to build this one well and nicely finish off the metal work and bluing. War era rifles tend to exhibit very rough machining and refinishing. This one is all numbers matching, has nice clear markings and cartouches on the stock. There is one very small less than dime sized interesting stock repair just behind the tang. It appears very solid and only superficial. There is an original sling included. The bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling. There is some dust from long term storage which will clean up easily. As with any military surplus firearm we recommend it be inspected by a qualified gunsmith prior to use.
