Description: Perhaps the finest 1911A1 ever produced and designed for combat situations , this is it ! A 5" barrel with 2" removable nose cone , S # 300057F by Lippard Designs , which is a modified 1911A1 originally called NCOs and protected because of their otherwise Classified nature . The design and tactics for the Combat NCO originated from the general manager of Pachmayr , Inc , Karl C Lippard , Former USMC Drill Instructor , Jungle Instructor and Hand To Hand Combat Instructor who had combat experience using the 1911A1 in an offensive mode . The original prototypes and subsequent pistols were modified to military specs for combat use in small quantities requested by the USMC for specific use such as Force Recon , Delta Force and other special weapons units of the government for use against terrorists , etc . Those 1911A1s were not available to the public until 2008 when they became available in very limited quantities after several variants and patents , now the most patented pistol made . This offering also includes Karl's signed copy to me of his book , THE WARRIORS .
