Serial 140738 was made in 1961. Both barrels sets are original, 28 inches long, have 2.75-inch chambers and are numbered ("1" and "2"). Chokes are IC/IM and M/F on a choke gauge. Features include ejectors, automatic safety, articulated front trigger, side clips, game ribs, checkered butt, single beads and bushed strikers. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 7.0 pounds, LOP is 14.75-inches, drops are 1.6 inches and 2.25 inches, and cast (off) is .375 inch. ENGRAVING: Full coverage bouquet and scroll graces the receiver, rolled trigger guard and tangs, opening lever, forend furniture and grip cap screw. Gold line cocking indicators and gold "1" and "2" appear on ribs. CONDITION: Metal finish is about 98% (rust blue on barrels, guard, lever and forend furniture, with nickel on the receiver). Wood retains 98% of the original hand-rubbed oil finish and has only slight evidence of field use. The opening lever camps well to the right. CASE: Leather takedown case with brass corners (no label, separated straps) and snaps. The price is firm and layaway is available.
