This gun is a faithful replica of the FN Baby Browning originally designed by John Moses Browning and updated by Fabrique Nationale in 1931. The only difference is when field stripping, the barrel turns in the opposite direction to avoid copyright infringement. These guns were designed for gentlemen of the early 1900's and sized for concelment in a vest pocket. Bauer produced these guns in Fraser, MI from 1972 – 1984 after the Gun Control Act of 1968 halted import of vest pocket pistols from Europe. These were widely used by Police and detectives as extreme concealment back-up guns. I don’t know when this particular gun was made but it appears to have been rarely fired as there is little wear. The bore is bright and it function tests properly. This gun is fitted with Kirinite © Pearl Handles hand-finished by Eagle Grips. Includes the original factory soft case.
