This one has adjustable rear sights, full-length underlug, and slotted, ramped front sights (with a red fiber insert). This black beauty has the Taurus trademark soft, over-molded, padded grips they use on their big revolvers. The gun has a wide, knurled hammer for easier cocking along with a wide, bowed trigger for comfortable shooting. With a 220+ grain hard cast bullet, this .44 Magnum develops almost 1600 ft/lbs of energy--enough to stop a grizzly in his tracks. And, of course, although this gun can comfortably handle the .44 Magnum round, it can easily handle the more mild .44 Special round for all day range sessions. This awesome revolver would make a great saddle gun, or pack gun, or, for the hardy soul, a great survivalist gun-- since some might say it almost functions as a short barrel rifle in emergency situations.
