Description: In olden days of the Reagan era, many of us took Marlin Rimfire bolt actions for granted. We weren’t as proud of them as we were of our pre-1964 Winchesters, and even indulged in fun-poking at times. We always respected the Marlins’ barrels though. Nowadays, we respect the entire rifle, especially this 983’s status as the best commonly marketed .22 Magnum rimfire in the U.S. While we respect the Ruger 77/22 profoundly for its durability, we will lay our money or the Marlin over the Ruger, and this Marlin 983 has something no one else in the US offers: a 12 shot tube-fed magazine. Barrel is 22 inch 1:16 Micro-Groove twist, one that outshoots all comers except for its own Heavy Barrel brothers. Stock is fleur-de-lis cut-checkered American Black Walnut. Sights are classic elevation adjustable Marlin Buckhorn rear and high-viz green dot front sight. There is one tiny light scratch on the heel of the buttstock between the rear swivel stud and the buttpad; other than that, we detect no surface detractions anywhere on this 983. Its bolt surface shows no use wear, and the magazine follower has no carbon on it. We bought it as part of a collection liquidation, and we do not believe it has ever been fired. Replacement price on brand new ones, no better than this one, in our area is now over $300 apiece. We’re offering this 983, likely manufactured in 1995 from its 956006xx serial number, for only $ 239.95

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
