Designed for the shooter who is passionate about hunting upland game, the Thomas Ferney Model 0730R is a lightweight, fast pointing and sleek field gun created to meet the needs of the serious upland game hunter. At just 6.38lbs the 0730R is short on weight and heavy on features. The low profile receiver is forged from 7075 Aircraft grade Aluminum alloy for very light weight and strength similar to that of steel. The innovative trigger group was designed with the hunter in mind and features a trigger that activates with approximately 4.5lbs of pressure. In addition, the single selective trigger is fully mechanical and will fire the second barrel even if the first shot results in a misfire. During normal operation an inertia block pre-tensions the trigger after the first barrel is fired. This reduces force necessary to activate the trigger on a follow up shot by 0.5LBS to approximately 4.0LBS, resulting in a quicker and more accurate second shot. The chambers and bore of the barrels are lined in chrome. The exterior of the barrel is finished with hard black chrome in a flat finish. Chrome, plating the outside of the barrels is costly, however the resulting superior corrosion and wear resistance Chrome offers are unmatched by any other finish. The barrels feature a 8mm vented mid-rib, 7mm vented top-rib, and polished upper receiver with heavy duty ejectors. The outer Chrome of the barrels are flat finished to be low reflective and feature a brass mid bead and florescent red fiberoptic front bead sight. The 0730R is a thing of beauty as well as functionality. The classic lines of the gun are enhanced by a beautiful Grade 3 Turkish Walnut stock and for-end that have been oil finished and hand rubbed to bring out the stunning beauty of the fine grade wood.
