Description: This listing is for the exact revolver in the photos. From a New England collection comes this .22 Short caliber RG10 revolver. Manufacturer was Rohm GmbH of Sontheim, West Germany. This revolver is not import stamped, but most RGs came in through Eig Cutlery in Miami, ancestor to the live and thriving EAA Corporation. 63 date code indicates a 1963 manufacture date, and its 6590000 range serial number is in the correct range for its siblings that we sold new in 1963. Importation ceased on these as assembled guns, on December 1, 1968. Type is side loading, single and double action revolver, with manual ejection through the port with the removable ejector pin. Construction is steel one piece barrel, cylinder, hammer, trigger, and internal parts fitted into a zinc alloy / zamak pot metal frame with pot metal collar type front sight, and with white plastic grip panels. Chambering is .22 Short Only, and cylinder capacity is 6 rounds. It will not chamber .22 Long or Long Rifle caliber ammunition. Barrel is 2 7/8 inch one piece, pinned into place, with steel inner barrel that has 8 groove right hand 1:16 rifling. Sights are muzzle collar blade front, with frame integral fixed notch rear. Trigger is .220 smooth face, with .195 width serrated spur hammer. Ignition is hammer nose firing pin. Mechanism does Not have a transfer bar, so the revolver should be loaded with 5 rounds and the hammer resting on an empty chamber. It does Not have its ejector Rod, that screws into the cylinder rod housing, so owner would need to eject spent brass with another pin. Frame is square butt type, small frame. Weight empty is 12.5 ounces, with center of gravity at the rear cylinder face. Other than its ejector rod missing, this revolver is as functional as a Rohm ever was. They were never known for their quality. Finish is black anodized, blued steel, and chrome plated frame and trigger guard. Surface detractions on this RG are minimal, principally faint edge wear and finish freckling. The grips aging is a plus. We rate its finish as Very Good, 80 to 85 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. We’re offering the 1963 RG10 in the photos for only $139.00. Transferable to civilian residents of California due to its age and C&R status. Never transferable to civilian residents of Illinois, District of Colombia, Hawaii, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, or any jurisdiction with a Melt Law. >>> (California) WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including lead, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.
