Description: This listing is for the actual pistol in the photos. Here is a rarity from the Walther Family, the Walam 48. Manufacturer was Fegyver- és Gépgyártó Részvénytársaság, English translation Arms and Machine Manufacturing Company, or simply FEG, of Csepei, Republic of Hungary, with several parts supplied by Carl Walther of Ulm, West Germany. From its E serial prefix, it was manufactured in 1962. Design is Carl Walther PP type. Type is blowback action, traditional single and double action semi automatic single stack pistol. Construction is entirely steel metal with polymer grips. Chambering is .380 ACP caliber, or 9mm Browning Short in European lingo. Barrel is 3 7/8 inch two piece with six groove 1:9.45 right hand rifling, designed for both steel case and brass case ammunition. Sights are slide integral blade front and dovetailed square notch rear that is drift adjustable only for windage, mounted on a checkered serration integral rib. Safety is left side slide, for right handed shooters, and serves as a decocker. The Walam 48 did not have any magazine safety or firing pin safety. Trigger is .310 smooth face with matching PP type round serrated spur hammer. Magazine is standard Mec-Gar Walther PP magazine, actually a better magazine than factory issue, and holds 8 rounds of .32 or .380 ACP ammunition, total loaded capacity of 8 + 1 rounds. It functions well with the magazine, but won’t lock the slide open on the last shot. PPK/S and PA63 magazines are too wide for this pistol. Grips are original issue brown polymer, checkered surface with thumbrest type left panel. Dimensions are 6 3/4 inches length by 4 3/4 inches height, by .89 inch slide thickness. Weight empty is 25.4 ounces, balanced at the breech face. Finish is brushed surface blued steel. Surface detractions are moderate, principally edge wear as the photos show. We rate this pistol as Very Good, perhaps even Excellent, 85 to 90 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Markings include the Egyptian crest on the left side. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. This pistol was never in Egypt. It and its mates served with the Serbian Municipal Police in Europe from their issuance until their recent retirement. We estimate this pistol fired no more than 500 rounds apiece during their careers, no rounds at all for a FEG. Replacement pricing on any Walther is upwards of $800 these days, and C&R Walthers are few and far between. We’re offering the FEG Walam-48 in the photos, however, for only $ 339.00. Not transferable to civilian buyers in California or Massachusetts.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
