Type is blowback action center fire semi automatic rifle. Construction is steel 18 inch 1:16 rifling barrel; steel bolt, steel double railed operating assembly, trigger, hammer, springs, and barrel band retainer springs. Receiver, sights, and barrel band / bayonet assembly are alloy with steel screws. Trigger group and barrel band / bayonet assembly are polymer with steel screws. Stock and hand guard are satin finished dark stained Italian hardwood, with a steel butt plate. Receiver is 3/8 inch grooved, so it will accept a scope mount. Front sight is correct wing protected blade, with a removable windage and elevation adjustable alloy aperture or peep type rear sight with steel screws. Magazine release is right hand shooter, non reversable, and the photo specimen’s magazine would not free fall, but removed easily enough. Trigger is .250 smooth faced steel, pulls at 6 1/2 pounds vicinity with minimal felt creep but extensive overtravel. Safety is lever type, up for safe and down for fire. Force required to cycle the bolt peaked at a bit over 20 pounds. Overall length is 35 1/4 inches, with a 13 1/8 length of pull on the Buttstock. Weight empty is 5 pounds 12 ounces with center of gravity at the magazine well. Magazine furnished is a standard 15 round Beretta 92 ACT-Mag. Each Chiappa comes in its factory box, instruction manual that includes warranty statement, and total of one magazine. Importer’s retail price is $ 679.00. This rifle is quite possibly discontinued.
