Remington 1894 EE Grade "One of 17" Guns > Shotguns > Remington Shotguns > Side x Side Pre-1899
Description: The very hard to find and rare high grade as only seventeen Grade E Remingtons were recorded from the 41,194 Model 1894 guns produced. in your quest for a Remington high grade let me please give you a little reality catch up from my own experience. I have been searching for over 32 years and this was the first opportunity I have had to even see a high grade Remington, let alone buy one. Please remember that only 17 Grade Es have been recorded from the total production of over 41,194 1894s, so your chances of seeing another high grade and "for sale" to boot are at best "very poor to zero". In most cases death of the current owner of the high grade will have to occur to even have a remote chance to buy one, if, that is, you know where they are selling it. Please keep this in mind if you are determined, like I was, to own a high grade. It is the ultimate Remington Model 1894 12 gauge in the EE Grade, DT, BTFE, ejectors, straight grip as shown in Charles G. Semmer's book "Remington Double Shotguns" on pages 196-198. In a phone call with Mr. Semmer, I received his most gracious permission to include his pictures from the beautiful work that he did on the Remington double gun in his book. Be sure to study these special photos shown below and start to realize what a rare high grade SxS find this Remington EE really is backed by one of the great authors of our time on a lost art. Just outstanding engraving and checkering covers this classic high grade Remington SxS. Engraving is very detailed and as good as it gets. The forend rates excellent with a flawless wrap-around checkered pattern and engraved metal forend tip. The length of pull to the 1" Pachmayr ventilated recoil pad is 14" with drops of 1 1/2" and 2 1/2". The gun locks up tight and the ejectors are strong. The approx. 26" double bead raised rib barrels of metric measure have shiney bores with 2 3/4" chambers and six inches of choke exactly like my Remington 1894 D grade. The right bore measures approx. .718 with .018 choke constriction and the left barrel measures .725 with .025 choke constriction. These very long chokes found in these high grades produce super patterns as does my D grade. This is your opportunity to own not only a rare high grade, but a published gun as well. I have included the latest BlueBook values of the Remington EE grade in the last photo. Look at all my pictures to see just how beautiful this Remington EE is. I have not fired this shotgun.
