Description: From its long time home domicile in the Buckeye State comes this customized, but otherwise pristine, Mossberg 190A Bolt Action Shotgun. Manufacturer was O.F. Mossberg & Sons of New Haven, CT. The model 190 series were only produced from 1955 until 1958. None of them were serialized. Construction is entirely steel metal, fitted into a one piece walnut stock with polymer trigger guard assembly. Chambering is 16 gauge, 2 3/4 inch shells only. Barrel is 26 inch C-Lect Choke; the choke adjusts from .635 full choke all the way out to .685 cylinder bore. Since the barrel is Not back bored, this shotgun will handle anything from Rifled Slugs to steel shot with the adjustment, and the .635 setting is incorrect and even damaging for slugs or steel. Sights are hex base alloy front bead, with low profile fixed curve notch rear that is integral to the receiver. Magazine is 2 shot detachable steel box type, so 2 + 1 fully loaded capacity. Bolt is solid white steel body with stamped steel slotted dual extractor / ejectors. Bolt handle is heat treated steel. Safety is tang mounted with green / safe and red / fire dot fire indicators. Trigger is .190 serrated face, and this 95 pulled two stage at 3 7/8 pounds, with moderate felt creep and substantial overtravel. Stock is the original walnut, but home gunsmith dressed down on the wrist and lateral butt areas. Length of pull measures 13 3/8 inches from the trigger face to the end of the well fitted, period correct black rubber recoil pad. Overall length is 42 1/2 inches. Weight is 6 pounds 9 ounces, with center of gravity at the magazine center. Metal and furniture finish is the original blue and gloss black, with exception of the magazine floorplate that appears to have a partial enamel refinish. Buttstock is sanded plain refinish. Apart from the custom stock and magazine work, Surface detractions are minimal. We rate it as Very Good, perhaps even Excellent; but with custom stock finish. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. We estimate this shotgun was fired fewer than 100 times. Replacement pricing for similar shotguns from competitors Savage and Browning is $600 or more. We’re offering the Mossberg 190-A in the photos, however, for only $ 219.00. 2% discount if payment is with USPS Money Order & Not credit card. Any ammunition or personnel in photos are Not included.

Add 250 rounds, 10 boxes, of Fiocchi 16 gauge Hi Powered #6, only $149 plus $15 ship!
