Here we have an interesting rifle, It is a Winchester Model 1892 Levergun (.38 Special). This started it's life as a .32 W.C.F. And was professionally rebuilt into a .38 Special. The original barrel was re-bored and re-rifled to the .357 caliber (not re-lined). The barrel is still marked .32 W.C.F. And upon sale the buyer will have the option to leave the exterior of the barrel unaltered or have the actual caliber stamped on it to reflect the correct caliber. The blueing & wood stocks are in great shape as is the bore with just a bit of wear and a few light scratches on the barrel & mag tube. Original date of manufacture is 1896. The barrel length is 18”, The wood stocks had been refinished but the original stock must have been in excellent condition before the fact. The receiver & crescent butt plate have been re-blued, the barrel & magazine tube have not been re-blued.
