Smith Model 2E 12 gauge with 30-inch Damascus barrels choked IM/F. Serial number 2084 (matching) has 2.75-inch chambers, ejectors, ebony forend insert, engraving and very nice wood. LOP is 14.1 to the original butt plate. Barrels remain on face. Bores show a hint of uniform roughness but are wonderfully shootable. Weight is 7.8 pounds and drops are 1.6 and 2.8 inches. Cast off is slight, possibly .375-inch. Barrel finish is thinning and worn in spots. Receiver is absent finish, with some tarnishing. Checkering is smoothing but the integrity and character of both forend and butt remain consistent and strong, other than some slight chipping at the edges of the forend.
