This pre-Civil War musket remains in good overall condition. 42” barrel is good with a grey finish; Smooth bore is very good with very little overall wear. Barrel reads “1841” on left side near breech. 3 barrel bands intact. Sidelock is very good and completely functional; There are no discernable markings on the lock. Trigger functions flawlessly protected by trigger guard with finger grips. Stock remains good to good; Left side has a recessed cheek rest. Stock has been cracked and repaired underneath the middle barrel band. Original butt plate very good with nice patina. No bayonet.
