The longer forcing cone is the key to the improvement in the barrel’s performance. With the creation of the new Beretta 692, Steelium Plus sets a new standard for competition shotgun barrels by lengthening the forcing cone to ~14” on a 30” barrel. The benefits of a longer forcing cone are less muzzle raise, better patterns, and faster target acquisition on follow-up for when you have to make the shot. The Beretta 692 comes with a 1.3mm = 0.05 inches wider receiver than the 682 Gold, improving control and handling. This adds a small amount of weight for better providing more stability and better handling before and after each shot. Its wider receiver has a technical yet elegant design including a polished metal surface, matte finish and “black gold” engraving highlight the represent the lines of a Beretta Over / Under with an attractive new design.
