There is original finish on the barrel but the receiver is pretty much bare. Mechanics are perfect, smooth and it has a good bore (probably a 7 out of 10 rating) with no pits or rings. My guess is that the sling swivel attachments are later additions, not factory. According to Madis, the gun was manufactured in 1903, which would have been only the second year the .33 WCF caliber was available. The sight elevator has the Jan. 1901 patent date on it which was not present on most later guns. The stocks are solid with no cracks or splits. All in all this is a good condition ’86 in quite shootable shape. If you are not aware, when you click on an individual picture, there are forward and back arrows in the upper left corner.
