Top of barrel at breech, stamped "U.S. / J H / P". JH stands for James Harris (1). Barrel is 8 1/2", smooth bore, .54 caliber. All metal parts have turned to a modeled Brown with the exception of the brass flash pan which has turned a dark yellowish brown. The wood displays no cartouches. There are a few mars and dents, but nothing significant. There is a hairline crack emitting from the front lock screw to the barrel band. The gun is in Excellent Functional Condition.
