Chambered in .38 caliber. Circa 1850. Gun remains in highly collectible functioning condition. 4” half octagon barrel is very good with a dark patina; Bore is good with wear, oxidation. Underhammer and trigger function flawlessly. Original wood grips are very good with light handling wear. The “Ashton” boot pistol was recognizable as it had the large screw heads on either side of the grips.
