This is a factory record Lettered Rifle in original condition as described by the factory. All matching numbers. This is a 28” round heavy barreled rifle. This rifle was shipped in 1877 from the Bridgeport factory. The overall condition is 90+%, with full bluing on the barrel. The receiver is about 80% silvered with faded case colors. Strong case colors in protected areas. The rifle has double set triggers and is 100% mechanically sound. I’ve shot black powder rounds through this rifle many times over the years. The bore has excellent shiny rifling the length of the bore. The bore shows signs of minor black powder pitting. For 143 years old the old girl is in amazing condition. About 1600 rifles of this model of 1874 were produced and very few remain this condition. Many of this shipment were shipped Westward, but as the letter states, this serial number was not among them. Shipping includes a hard case at $125.00. This does not include insurance which is up to the buyer, but I would strongly advise to insure the rifle.
