Trigger is .204 smooth faced steel, and the photo specimen pulled two stage, 1/2 inch travel, at 5 pounds with minimal felt creep and moderate overtravel. Stock has wave stippled lateral panels on the forend and pistol grip areas, with permanent 1 1/2 inch sling swivels fore and aft. Buttstock length of pull is 13 1/2 inches from the trigger face to the end of the 7/8 inch black rubber recoil pad. Stock drop is 2 1/2 inches at the comb and 3 inches at the heel, with a 1 inch right hand cant, not southpaw friendly. Overall length is 44 5/8 inches. Weight empty is 8 pounds 8 ounces, with center of gravity at the chamber mouth. Finish is durable parkerized steel and military Olive Drab Green stock and hand guard. Each M1A comes in its factory box with protective papers, chamber protector, factory hang tie with warning and inspection tags; it includes pledge card, slam-fire article, 1963 Army M2 Manual, Springfield Armory Manual, and factory registration card.
