High Standard Dura-Matic M-101 .22LR Semi-Auto Pistol Guns > Pistols > High Standard Pistols
Description: Hi-Standard Dura-Matic M-101 .22LR semi-auto 6.5" barrel (mint bore) pistol made in Hamden, CT, with 10-rd. blued steel HS factory magazine; no factory box, manual, or papers.

I could find only very minimal signs of firing/wear on the frame/slide rails, but the magazine does have some bluing worn off, mainly at the top, so this indicates to me that the pistol has likely been fired some after it left the factory, though my guess is that there has not been a very high number of rounds through the gun; OR some of the bluing may have been worn off simply due to repetitive insertion/removal of the magazine without the gun having been fired every time the mag was inserted. Has cocking indicator safety feature in the rear/center of the slide and a brown, checkered (with curved grooving on upper part of grip) synthetic, one-piece, very comfortable wraparound grip, with an excellent grip angle Gun is in mint condition.. Sights: serrated fixed blade front sight; rear square-notched sight, mounted in dovetail slot (so can be adjusted for windage). The large-headed barrel retaining screw, in front of the trigger guard, enables fast and convenient swapping of barrels, e.g., to 4" or 7". Has cross-bolt/push-button safety (with red inset to indicate it is in firing mode) at rear of frame.

The bluing finish and metal condition (with high polish on slide sides and barrel) appear, overall, as near-new, i.e., 98-99%, estimated; the frame is in matte finish, as is the top of the slide (for anti-glare when sighting). However, on the right side of the slide there are several minuscule, extremely-shallow/narrow, barely-visible scratches, but the bluing itself has not been blemished around them -- they do not appear to be roundish, concave pits, as is typical if rusting has occurred; light has to hit them at a very specific angle in order for them to be visible. There appears to be a miniscule, extremely-shallow, barely-visible scratch at the upper rear of the right side of the grip.

I’ve had the gun for over 20 years and have not fired it. The serial number is 1305955, which is located on the right side, both on the frame and on the slide.. I looked at an online historical chart of Dura-Matic serial numbers/years of manufacture, which indicated that this model was made from 1955 to 1970; unfortunately, I don't know the year of manufacture, though further research by a prospective buyer might possibly determine the year of manufacture.

High Standard .22 pistols have, for decades, had a reputation for superb accuracy.

Reason for "No Return" policy is that pistol is honestly and exactly as described in the ad and as shown in the photos.
