In February of 1975 my father purchased this beautiful Smith & Wesson Model 60 Chief's Special. This snub-nose dectctive's gun chambered for 38 Special, was one of the first handguns constructed entirely of stainless steel (an oddity for its day). My father, always the seeker of the new and unusual, ran right out to buy one at our local gun shop. My father was more of a collector than a shooter. He kept all of his hand guns in their original boxes with manufacturer's wax paper wrapping, owner's manual and even the original store invoice! I'm in the process of selling off his entire collection. This 19 oz. 5-Shot revolver(serial #R 123034) has a Satin Stainless Finish and a 2" pinned barrel. Like all of his firearms, this 35 year old gun appears to be in near mint condition. The action feels tight like a new gun. The wood grips are un-marred and the checkering is deep and sharp attesting to the gun's lack of use. Everything that originally came with this gun is still in the box as my father left it (including the original invoice). Payment by Money Order or Cashier's Check only.
