The 1918 was only made in 1918, the last year of WWI, less than 16,000 were produced and most were destroyed at wars end. This is the rare KURZ model with the shorted "BULL BARREL". This rifle was "LIBERATED" in 1945 by a USGI as a WAR SOUVENIER. A unique and rare gun that has a distinct part in the history of warfare. Unlike most, this gun was never altered to .50BMG.
