The Rascal single shot rifle functions with Short, Long, and Long Rifle .22 rimfire cartridges. A windage- and elevation-adjustable peep sight and Savage's adjustable AccuTrigger® enables shooters to obtain exceptional accuracy with the Rascal. A lever mounted within the AccuTrigger body blocks the sear unless the trigger is intentionally pressed in the center, greatly minimizing the risk of accidental discharge. An oversize loading port facilitates feeding individual rounds into the chamber, and the overly large 2-stage safety switch enhances safety for young shooters. The bolt can be cycled for loading and unloading with the safety engaged.
