The usual 7.62x54R caliber. Not a matching number on it but operates flawlessly. Someone previous to me lightly sanded the wood and put a light stain in it, followed by varnishing it. Most of the Star Stamp in the stock can still be made out. No cracks. As a purist, I'm not a fan of the gloss varnishing, but it is what it is. The barrel and receiver have most of the bluing remaining. The magazine and trigger guard do not have any bluing remaining. The barrel is the hooded front sight option, has the hammer and sickle stamp, and a date stamp of 1936. The receiver is stamped "Made in U.S.S.R." All the metal parts are there, including the cleaning rod. The barrel, receiver, bolt, and mag are all in great shape with no hint of any rustpitting anywhere, only the buttplate as usual has some minor rustpitting texture to it. The barrel has a pretty nice bore with well-defined thick rifling grooving. Gun needs nothing and is ready to go. I am not a dealer. I am a private individual selling this firearm from my personal collection, where It has been out of circulation for over four years.
