Description: Made by SSK Industries owner J.D. Jones for a friend and so inscribed on the barrel. 16.5-inch stainless steel barrel topped with full-length rib that includes integral TSOB-type mounting system and 3 rings. Contender receiver is either stainless steel or finished in SSK chrome. Forearm and thumbhole stock are fashioned from what appears to be AAA-grade English (French) walnut and accented with an ebony forend tip and pistol grip cap. Checkering is double-bordered and runs about 22 LPI. Overall condition is well above 95% with slight hunting wear and a few small dings in the wood. The bottom of the ebony grip cap shows clear evidence of wood/finish damage due to improper screw removal. Butt is finished with a Pachmayr pad. No California sales.
