Notes: The Kel-Tec KSG is a bull-pup, 12-Gauge, pump action shotgun. The sliding forend is connected to the bolt by dual operating bars. It has two tube magazines which the user can switch between manually. Each tube holds a total of (seven) 2-3/4" or (six) 3" shells. The user selects a magazine tube by switching a three-position lever, located behind the pistol grip. The middle position of the switch blocks the feed from both magazines and allows the user to clear the chamber or to chamber a single round manually. Rounds are loaded into the magazines through a large loading/ejection port, located at the bottom of the rear portion of the stock, behind the pistol grip. Empty shells are ejected down through the same port. A manual safety is available in the form of a cross-bolt button, located above the grip, making the gun ambidextrous in use.
"The KSG (Kel-Tec Shotgun) is Kel-Tec's first entry into the shotgun market. The size, shape, and design is similar to our RFB rifle, but the KSG ejects downward instead of forward. The KSG weighs 6.9 lbs and is as compact as is legally possible, with a 26.1" over-all length and an 18.5" Cylinder bore barrel. Even with this compact size, the internal dual-tube magazines hold an impressive 12 rounds of 12 Gauge 3" rounds in total (6 per tube), or seven rounds each of 2-3/4" shells. It can also reliably shoot shells as short as 1-3/4". This simple and reliable pump action feeds from either the left or right tube.
"The forend includes a rail on the underside of the pump for mounting accessories. The top rail will accept many types of optics or iron sights. Forward and rear sling loops are built in, and a basic sling is included. The soft rubber butt pad helps to tame the recoil.
"The grip and stock assembly is made of glass reinforced nylon and is easily disassembled. The barrel and pump assembly is removed by loosening the 2 front magazine tube nuts with a coin, and sliding the assembly forward."
