Revolver .45 Cal Double/Single action (stamped UNITED STATES PROPERTY- on the south side of the barrel. Left side says COLT D.A. 45., The bottom of the hand grip frame say's "U.S. ARMY MODEL 1917 No-135852" . Fixed blade sites & a floating firing pin on the hammer. Other numbers on the swing out hinge 285574 & 285574 match. Overall condition mechanically very good - strong hammer spring & solid cylinder lock up as the hammer drops. Barrel length is 4". Vent rib and custom grips and a bluing job has been added to the original condition of this revolver. Some light surface rust appears on vent rib and the backstap between the grips and bottom side of the barrel from storing the gun in a closed pistol case.
