I have for sale a Remington Rand 1911A1 WWII GI .45, made in September 1944. Serial no. is 1804XXX. Has the small 3rd Remington Rand logo on the slide. It is in excellent shape overall. I would say finish is about 85%. It has been refinished in a light gray shade and used. Rear sight is a little dinged up on the sides. All parts are correct Remington Rand. Slide stop, thumb safety and mainspring housing are all serrated. Has 8 rib mainspring housing, Remington Rand hammer, stamped trigger, etc. Currently has a Vietnam era chrome lined barrel and post WWII GI replacement grips, but I also have the correct WWII High Standard blued barrel and Keyes Fiber grips. This gun was used in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Also included in this lot is the following: WWII Enger Kress shoulder holster in almost mint condition, 9 Colt factory 7 rd. blued magazines, 1 new in wrap, (the others are all used, 2 are 60's vintage or older with no horse on baseplate), 4 GI mags new in wrap sealed up, dated 1978, 1 GI cleaning rod, 1 GI bore brush, O.D. toothbrush, 1 WWII Stanley screwdriver, 2 .45 snap caps, 1 extra set of GI replacement grips, 1 1967 dated waterproof pistol bag, 2 Blackhawk SERPA holsters, 1 Blackhawk double mag pouch, 1 Bianchi duty belt nylon mag pouch, 1 inside the pocket mag pouch, 1 Hunter brand brown leather holster, 1 brown leather holster open top belt slide holster, 1 DeSantis brown mag pouch, 1 Safariland 5188 holster, and 1 collector book on the 1911 military and commercial pistols by Joe Poyer. Also have one of the following in spare parts: extractor, sear spring, front sight, firing pin stop, mag catch, mainspring housing spring cap pin, barrel link, barrel link pin, recoil spring plunger, barrel bushing, mainspring, firing pin spring, slide stop and thumb safety, all in plastic fishing style tackle boxes.
