We are offering for sale a beautiful German Made SINGLE SHOT, FALLING BLOCK rifle. This vintage rifle is chambered in what I believe to be 7.6x46mm caliber. RECEIVER, LEVER and SIGHT SHOWS BEAUTIFUL CASE COLORS! Maker is unknown but please refer to photographs for barrel markings (Proof marks for E. German, Suhl)
26 ¾” octagon barrel is Very Good retaning 95% or better bluing. Bore is excellent; Clean with strong rifling. Front fixed sight and rear adjustable sight shows nice case colors. Receiver also shows beautiful case coloring that has faded ever so slightly. Unique lever action works flawlessly dropping the breech block for loading. Gun has double triggers, one being a set trigger. Furniture is very good. Shoulder stock shows small closed crack at rear of tang; imperfection on the rear corner of the cheek rest; Fore-end very good with light wear. Decorative grip cap shows small chip; plastic butt plate shows small crack.
