Description: Listed for sale is a Colt 1849 Pocket Pistol in 31 Cal. Antique. Pistol has been used quite a bit by the looks of it. Saw use during the Civil War. Made in 1863. Exterior has no rust. Has clear one line address on barrel. Small pitting around cylinder. Bore has good rifling with minor pitting throughout. Approx 40% scene on cylinder. Serial numbers match including wedge. Not sure about cylinder. Looks like a number was restamped. Not sure when this was done. All parts seem to match the pistol. Cylinder rotates and locks up well on all positions. I have fired this pistol and it fired well. Not sure of accuracy. I was shooting it just to shoot it. Seems to be a decent example of this type and model. Many photos available.
