The original holster is also marked/ stamped 1943.It has a 5" barrel. Serial number 2124d. All 3 external numbers match. The bluing is very good, in the high 90%'s I would say. There is but slight wear on the front of the slide. Holster wear. The grips are excellent, probably 95-99%. The bore is excellent , bright with good clear, crisp rifling present. It operates perfectly. I have shot it. All "waffa" stamps appear with the #135.( Mauser) Both clips also have the eagle and the #135 indicating they too are Mauser. Both are in very good to fine condition. The holster is in good to very good condition. It appears some extra stitching was done on the belt loops for added security. One loop has slight leather loss.The holster is also "waffa" stamped with the mark "WaA195"and dated 1943.Just like the gun.This is a nice complete rig because the gun and clips are all Mauser, and the gun and holster both were produced in 1943.One more thing I should mention is that this rig was an Iowa vet's bring back. His name is Ray Melssen. Sorry, I have no more info on this gentlemen.This is a clean, complete example of one of the over 140,000 Mauser byf's that were produced. FFL required please.
