Based on a John Browning design using a sliding forearm or "pump action" to cycle the mechanism offering rapid operation, the gun earned the epithet of the "Perfect Repeater." All Model 12's are built in a take down configuration, a couple of easy operations separates the gun into two smaller transportable pieces with all parts captive, making for easy cleaning and efficient storage. Here we have a great example of the Model 12 in excellent overall condition with a poly-choke rib. The 16ga is often considered the sweet spot for weight of shot to weight of gun.
