Mossberg 12 gauge Blackwater Cruiser 3 inch 18 1/2 in Stand Off Breacher Cylinder Bore Tactical Strap Forend 6 Shot Excellent Factory Demo 54123 Tactical Pump Riot Shotgun Guns > Shotguns > Mossberg Shotguns > Pump > Tactical
Description: This listing is for the exact shotgun in the photos. This shotgun is not transferable to anyone under 21 years of age in any jurisdiction. This is not a comfortable shooting weapon, even if someone is doing varmint control with Super Light 2 3/4 inch shells, but a powerful one. Operators should not try firing muzzle against wood or any other surface, unless they have the word Stupid clearly tattoed on their foreheads. For a good balance between firepower and felt recoil, a 12 gauge 3 inch Magnum load with 1 1/4 oz. BB Steel Shot delivers 90 Pellets at 1400 feet per second from the muzzle and that figures the rough equivalent of 2 boxes of .17 Mach II bullets all in one shot. This is Mossberg's special edition Blackwater Cruiser Grip shotgun, the Persuader 12 gauge pistol grip variant of the tried-and-true Model 500 slide action with tang safety, easily employed by Left Handed Shooters. This is a virtual duplicate of the proven Mossberg military 500 and 590 models issued in Iraq to that well known Private Security Agency, and it bears the Blackwater Logo on its receiver, Mossberg sku 54123. Manufacturer is O.F. Mossberg & Sons of New Haven, CT. Construction is steel barrel, bolt, trigger, magazine tube, and internal parts in an alloy receiver with high impact polymer trigger group housing, pistol grip, and forend. Barrel is 590 type with open lug that fits over the magazine, Heavy Contour, .945 outside diameter at the lug, 18 1/2 inch overall length with serrated face Breacher Muzzle Brake, of the variety used by well trained entry teams. No one should fire any shotgun muzzle against wood, unless one has the word Stupid prominently tattoed on his or her forehead. The same holds true for firing a cruiser grip shotgun with the grip anywhere near the shooter’s face. Front sight is Hex based solid brass, threaded into place. Chambering is 12 gauge, 2 3/4 inch or 3 inch shells interchangeably. Magazine capacity is 5 + 1 on 2 3/4 inch shells, or 4 + 1 on 3 inch magnums. 590 magazines are constructed so that they can accept extensions, but an extension will likely contact the muzzle brake on this variant. Forend is traditional serrated black polymer corn cob type, with tactical offhand retention strap, helpful on a cruiser. Metal is non glare matte blue finish, with a matching black matte anodized finish to the lightweight alloy receiver. Note the Blackwater logo laser engraved on the receiver. Safety, as the photos show, is traditional Mossberg top tang, polymer construction and user-friendly for southpaws. Pistol grip is factory issue hard polymer combat finger groove type, and brings the overall length to 28 3/4 inches. Weight empty is 6 pounds 6 ounces with center of gravity at the forend rear. This specimen is what we call a factory demo. It served as showgirl for Mossberg’s sales force, on the road with their reps and writers; and at gun industry trade shows like the annual SHOT show in Las Vegas. Surface detractions are minimal, really no more streaking and faint edge whitening than what one sees on many new display guns in stores. We rate it as Excellent, 90 to 95 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Shoppers can possibly spot the letter U stamped on the left side of the receiver above the serial number. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. If this shotgun was test fired, it was fewer than 20 times. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. This 500 Blackwater Cruiser comes in a relabeled Mossberg Factory Box with factory lock, instruction manual, NSSF and NRA flyers. Current pricing on the descendant 590 is upwards of $600 apiece in our area. We’re offering this one, however, for only $ 339.00. Not transferable to anyone under 21 years of age. Any ammunition shown in our photos is Not Included. Not transferable across the counter to out of state non dealers in any jurisdiction.
