Stock has not been cut and has Bakelite "Dogs head" butt-plate. Shoulder stock had a "plug" on each side up near action box. Very old and expertly done if they indeed were for repair. Expert says he has seen similar plugs from the manufacturer on some stocks and doesn't know why. Condition: Nice shape. Valuation expert says it is the tightest Parker Brothers he has seen in years. And that the 28 inch barrels are in much higher demand these days than the 30 inch ones. Details, Etc: Very little bluing remaining on barrels. Very faint case color finish on action. Nicely engraved. Grade 2. 2 Birds on each side and bottom. Two triggers. Tang safety. Matching numbers. Both barrels full choke. Both barrels clean, minimal scuffing, very bright bores. Barrel lock up is tight with absolutely no movement in any direction. Serial number indicates 1888 Manufacture Date. Has been expertly inspected for proper functioning and valuation.
