This old gun is in pretty good shape for its age. Bluing shows natural signs of aging - no rust - no pitting - Hand checkered pistol grip stock and forend shows use and age but are in good shape and fit tight to the gun - the gun does need a new recoil pad (not a big deal to install) - case hardened receiver has STEVENS with a flying goose on left side - J.
