Description: I am proud to present my THIRD classic First-Generation Bisley Colt Single Action Army Revolver in .32-20 WCF, manufactured in 1908 in Hartford, Connecticut.

The Colt “Peacemaker” was introduced in 1873 and has become one of the most iconic firearms in all of history, thanks to its widespread use by the U.S. military, civilians and, more recently, in Western films. Total production numbers for the “First Generation” (c. 1) Colt Single Action Army reached 357,859. These continued to be relied upon as well as “hot-rodded” by the likes of Elmer Keith, Skeeter Skelton, many other lawmen and gun writers of the time.

This one features a 5-1/2 inch barrel, chambered for a great cartridge. While the .44s and .45s are generally perceived as the man-stoppers of the day, the .32-20 was no slouch, pushing a 100 grain bullet at about 1000 feet per second. This would have been a great revolver to compliment a rifle in the same caliber and many did so well into the 20th Century!

Overall the Colt is in very good original condition (I'd say about 30-40% original finish remains). The markings are clear. The numbers match. The trademarked hard rubber grips are in good shape. The bore is clean with nice rifling. The action is excellent. The four clicks are solid. The lock up is excellent and the timing good. Here is a classic Colt in a mid-length configuration and chambered for one of the great smaller bore cartridges.
